“Within 3” War Strategy

CHOOSING AN OPPONENT WHEN ATTACKING A BASE WITH NO STARS ON IT:

•Each member is required to attack within 3 of their rank on the war map. This means if you are number 10 in our war, you are permitted to attack as high as 7 or as low as 13.

•The top members base selection is a little different. our number 1 has the option to attack their equal rank (our opponents number 1) or 3 below themselves (our opponents 2nd, 3rd, or 4th ranked). Following suit, our number 2 has the option to attack their equal rank, one above themselves (our opponents number 1) or 3 below himself (our opponents 3rd, 4th, or 5th ranked base). Finally, our number 3 has the option to attack their equal rank, 2 above themselves (our opponents 1st and 2nd ranked bases) or 3 below themselves (our opponents 4th, 5th, or 6th ranked base)

•The bottom 2 members in every war always have a 6 hour automatic claim on our opponents bottom 2 bases.

•The bottom most ranked player should use their second attack to clean up the next highest non-three-starred base from their rank.

CHOOSING AN OPPONENT FOR CLEAN UP:

•Choose an opponent who is lower than your rank (don’t reach up)

•Choose an opponent that all ready has one or two stars on it so that you can watch the replay, see where the traps are, and plan your attack accordingly.

•Clean up attacks should aim for 3 STARS. If there is a base with one star, and you’re not confident you can 3 star that base, go lower for a base you can 3 star and leave the other base for someone above you.

•The bottom most ranked player should use their second attack to clean up the next highest non-three-starred base from their rank.

•Clean up is only during the last 8 hours of war.
